Testing Procedures
This agreement must be signed by the student and placed in the student’s testing file before the student will be allowed to use the CDS/SNAP Alternative Testing Site (ATS). By signing this agreement, the student will abide by these rules every time they use the Alternate Testing Site.
I understand and agree to the following rules regarding using the Alternative Testing Site (ATS):
- Prior to signing up to take a test with CDS/SNAP, I will have provided my professor my Professor Notification Letter (PNL).
- I am responsible for signing up for tests at least one week (5 business days) in advance of the test date.
- I will not reserve a time that will interfere in any way with other classes, labs, exams, or other school-related responsibilities. Should a test interfere with other classes, labs, exams, or other school- related responsibilities, I understand that CDS/SNAP will not be held responsible nor will they excuse my absence.
- It is expected that I will schedule a test on the same day/time as when the class is taking it unless there is an academic-scheduling conflict (e.g. back-to-back class; evening class when ATS is not open). If I have an academic-scheduling conflict, it is my responsibility to reserve a time agreeable to the professor that will allow me ample time to finish my exams during the working hours of ATS (8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., Monday-Friday).
- I am responsible for arriving at the time of my reservation to take the test. I understand that coming at a later time does not guarantee that I will have a space. I understand that CDS/SNAP has set times to take exams and I will complete my exam by 4:45 p.m. CDS/SNAP is not responsible for incomplete exams due to insufficient testing time.
- I understand that I may not access or have any cellphones, smart watches, fitness trackers, or other wi-fi capable devices in the testing room. I also understand that if I am caught with an unauthorized device in the testing room, even if I am not actively accessing it, CDS/SNAP will be informing my professor of this incident. Cubby storage space is provided to store personal items.
- Even though my accommodations may allow the use of specific software, Microsoft Word, or other applications for testing purposes, I may not visit other sites, folders, emails, etc., while testing unless directed to do so by CDS/SNAP staff or specifically stated in writing by my professor to the CDS staff prior to the beginning of the test.
- I am aware that a proctor will monitor all activities in the testing site to protect me from unsubstantiated accusations.
- I will demonstrate academic integrity in accordance with the College of Charleston Student Code of Conduct. CDS/SNAP reports all instances of suspected academic dishonesty to the Dean of Students, the professor, and/or other College personnel.
