MLAT

Modern Language Aptitude Test

The Center For Disability Services offers the Modern Language Aptitude Test (MLAT) to assess whether a student should pursue further testing for a language-related learning disability. Students having difficulty with their foreign language classes and those interested in language alternatives can use this as a screening process to determine their level of difficulty in learning a foreign language.

The MLAT takes between an hour and an hour and a half and is offered several times each semester. Students unable to attend one of the scheduled MLAT sessions may request to take the test at another time. Call the Center For Disability Services at 843.953.1431 to request an appointment to take the MLAT.
